Depression Treatment for the Information Age
How TMS works
TMS therapy is safe and effective for treating depression. 50-70% of symptoms can be reduced lasting up to 6 months. However, with currently available TMS devices, the therapy takes 30-40 minutes per session and 30 sessions to complete a course within 5-6 weeks. 40% of patients have headache and scalp pain during or after the therapy. With all TMS devices, it is expected that training is required to perform coil positioning, and extra clinical space and maintenance cost is needed to install the device for running a sustainable business.
Depression patients have decreased activity in the pre-frontal cortex area of the brain, a brain region associated with the control of mood and emotions. TMS generates a targeted pulsed magnetic field to heal that specific brain region by stimulating or suppressing the nerve activities. NPX proprietary electro-magnetic coils generate induced eddy currents that modulate the nerve activities, enhance micro circulation and turn-on self modulation activities in nerve tissues, change blood flow, increase oxygen uptake and cell metabolism, sprout new synaptic connections to improve the cognition function in the brain, which overall results in mitigation of depression and other diseased symptoms.

NPX Features
NPX is a TMS device powered by coils simulators, a helmet with protective shield layer and a power supply system. Therapy sessions with the NPX device are safe and comfortable. Users can easily position the helmet on patient's head, select frequency and other parameters to achieve the best therapeutic outcome according to the recommendation of clinical specialists.

Self-Positioning

Protective Shield Layer
Current repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation generates excessive unwanted magnetic energy may trigger scalp discomfort and other other side-effects during the span of multiple therapy sessions. NPX comes with a Shield layer that provides a ward-off protection outside the lesion area by reducing 32% stimulation at 1-3 cm depth, without affecting the healing energy for deeper lesion area at 5 cm depth.
