Janice Huang, PhD

CEO, Founder and Principle Investigator

Janice has worked on initiation and developing NPX device back since 2011. She co-founded NeuroPrex, is one of NPX device inventors, responsible for corporate operation. She led the company to win many government awards, has established a strong IP position in surface pain reduction™ technology, and a functional prototype entering different phases of product development. Her solid medical research background and life-time surrounded by top engineers, doctors, scientists, attorneys, and entreprenuers, empowers her to bring out revolutionary medical innovation into the real world. She ran international business in marketing and sales of ultrasound and other advanced medical products in collaboration with small to large companies of US and Asia before 2008. She received a doctorate in immunology in 2002 (National Tsing Hwa University, Taiwan) and was a STB fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine 2008-2010, completed a BioDesign Class at Stanford GSB 2009. Janice has over 25 scientific publications and issued patents. She enjoys to be with family and her cat at casual time in her favorite Bay Area of California.

Brian Talbert, MBA

Financial and Revenue Advisor

Brian is an accomplished finance executive with over 20 years of experience in the biotech, med devices, semiconductor, and electronics industries. His unique background in engineering has helped him excel as a finance leader at start-ups, mid-size and multinational corporations. Brian has a proven track record of scaling businesses from R&D to commercialization, leading international and US teams and business partners, and driving successful fundraising rounds. He has direct and supervisory management experience in accounting, reporting, tax, insurance, HR, legal, facilities, IT, and supply chain. At Nephrosant, he serves as the VP of Finance and has played a pivotal role in scaling the business and overseeing its financing. At Nova Measuring Instruments, he functioned as the CFO for the US and it’s acquired subsidiary. At Logitech, he managed all aspects of financial support for the company's production operations, and at Intuitive Surgical, he played a key role in incentive compensation strategy and planning. With a BS in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon, Brian is a versatile finance leader with a broad range of experience that brings a unique vision for NeuroPrex to succeed in its next milestones. As an advisor to the CEO, Brian is committed to helping NeuroPrex achieve its financial goals and expand its business.

Rainer Richter, MS

Software Architecture Advisor

Rainer is advising NeuroPrex on software architecture and software systems development. He has a long history of delivering successful solutions for first-of-a-kind solutions requiring novel solutions. At IBM he was the lead architect for a fixed deadline, high-profile project for NFL content which won a 2011 Technical Emmy Award for IBM and Fox Sports. Rainer was one of only 5 IBMers invited to the presentation ceremony in Hollywood. At Omnicell, Rainer's team won the first ever Hackathon for an automated testing system which integrated software and hardware to accurately simulate testing by nurses. Rainer's most challenging project was pro bono work for the Cleveland Clinic analyzing SNP genetic data. Rainer built and programmed his own supercomputer using NVIDIA GPU boards. Rainer presented his work at the 2009 NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference. Having lost a close friend to depression, he is very motivated to help others by assisting NeuroPrex in their first-of-a-kind project.

Fred M. Greguras, JD

General Affairs and Business Legal Advisor, Veteran, Liaison with VA and DOD

Fred is on the Company board of advisors and an early-stage angel investor. He has helped NeuroPrex with business and legal affairs extensively since 2013. His personal interest is being a potential liaison with the VA and DOD to support combat PTSD treatment with the NPX product because he is a Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam. Fred provides valuable insights in NeuroPrex’ financing, incentive plans to recruit exceptional professionals, general business, and legal affairs in daily operations. He is currently an international business attorney with the Inventus Law Firm (San Francisco, California), serving clients from the startup through public company stages. His clients include medical device companies, software, semiconductor and other technology companies. Additionally, Fred was previously recognized as a Super Attorney within California’s ranking, including while with Fenwick & West (Mountain View, CA) and K&L Gates (Palo Alto, CA).

Dr. Pablo Villoslada

General Medical Affair Advisor, for Neurologist Society

Dr. Pablo Villoslada, is a neurologist with long term experience in translational medicine, including drug and medical device development. He was Adjunct Professor at the Department of Neurology of the University of California, San Francisco from 2014 to 2017, and worked as Medical Director of Neuroinflammation at Genentech from 2017-2018. Since October 2018 he joined the neurosciences team and became adjunct professor at Stanford University. He has founded several start-ups developing medical devices such as Attune Neurosciences and Health Engineering or drugs for brain diseases Bionure, and is a venture partner with Alta Life Sciences. He has published more than 185 scientific articles and has been granted 13 patents in biomarkers and new therapies for brain diseases. He has also obtained many European and US grants from agencies and international foundations.

Dr. David Gudeman

General Medical Affair Advisor, for Psychiatrist Society

Dr. Gudeman recently joined as the company’s medical advisor, participates in the product research project of National Science Foundation, USA. He received his MD at University of California, Los Angeles. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine in 1993 and was subsequently board certified. He completed a residency in Psychiatry at UCLA in 1996 and was subsequently board certified. He was the Medical Director in two hospitals in the Los Angeles area and was the Behavioral Health Director of Ventura County from 2000-2003. He was Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA Olive View Hospital from 2003-2005. He then opened a private practice in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties from 2005 through 2013. As a large part of his private practice he was an early adopter of TMS treatment owning 3 Neurostar TMS machines spread between two clinics. He treated over 100 patients with excellent outcomes treating the most treatment resistant patients out of the over one thousand active patients he treated. He experienced an over 80% response rate of these patients. He is excited about NeuroPrex product idea and thinks NPX addresses some of the main issues that have limited wider spread of TMS as a treatment modality.

Dr. Bill PC Hsieh

General Medical Affairs Advisor, for Non-Psychiatrist Society

Dr. Hsieh is a board certified U.S. Internal Medicine doctor and has a general medical practice in Hacienda Heights, California. Bill received his medical degree from the University of Otago School of Medicine in 1999 and has been in practice for 15 years. He has a special interest in functional MRI in cardiology and has many medical publications to his credit. He worked as a fellow and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, University of California San Francisco Medical Center, and California Pacific Medical Center Pacific. In addition to his general medical practice, he also works for CareCore National to audit and determine approval for the reimbursement applications of patients. Bill will help NeuroPrex to formulate its reimbursement strategy for products which treat major depression and other diseases. Bill is a liaison for NeuroPrex joint clinical studies with director professors at departments of Imaging, Psychology, and Neurology at the Medical Center of University of Southern California and other universities. He also provides expertise in science submission and marketing strategies.

Hans Pan, MS

Founder, Inventor and Principle Engineer

Mr. Hans Pan cofounded NeuroPrex Inc with Janice. Hans was responsible for NPX technology development, integration, and engineering execution. Hans received an MS in Applied Chemistry from National Chiao-Tung University (Taiwan). He had over 35 years of work experience as a division director in technology development and product design in semiconductors and TFT LCD flat panels. He worked for Xilinx Inc. in the USA beginning in 2003, coordinated the technology joint development project of 28HPL technology between Xilinx and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The 28nm HKMG CMOS technology fueled Xilinx’s FPGA unprecedented high performance and low power, is a huge market success. Hans was a founding member of NeuroPrex in 2013 because of his enthusiasm to improve human life and his knowledge of medical devices. He published several papers in international academic journals and filed more than 35 patents. Mr. Pan honorably completed his early-stage development, proof-of- concepts and prototyping work and the product work has been transferred to a group of other members for preparing the FDA submission device.
